Some might say...

Some (the hubs) might say I have high expectations when it comes to projects around the home. October leaves the Archers with no where to go and weekends full of "house projects". I just witnessed the amazing Jenny's update of A Cup of Jo's living room. And this fall my fireplace will look Just. Like. This one.

Oh and one more thing. My bi-annual haircut is coming up and I'm going to take this pic in for inspiration. Whatta think?

Lov-ing

everything little thing about this space...the widebeam wood floors, the fallish colors, the ginormous fireplace. and you know that ceiling is super tall.

You know I love me some September, but I am seriously over 80-90 degree temps. Bring on the cooler days and if it's not too much, can I see some pretty colors when I look around?

Although you guys can stay on the trees for as long as you can. Raking you is a strong DIS-like.

Can't believe...

This time last year I was 3 days away from getting married. I was celebrating my bestest friend's birthday and getting ready to walk down that aisle and do it. So much has happened in this year and so much has really stayed the same.
Everyone always likes to ask "how's married life?" and my answer has been, "Great, the same as before, but great." And I wouldn't change anything about John and I. We work through the rough patches and relish in the good.  I truly got so lucky! It's awesome!
Bailey over at Peppermint Bliss is getting hitched and reading all the wedding posts from other bloggers was such a treat. Jump over there to check them out.

A few of the many memories I have from that day...

Seeing each other before the ceremony was the best thing we agreed to do. It calmed me and helped keep things at some sense of normalcy. 









This image is so great. We were just walking along to go to another spot and my dress unhooked from the bussle. I was worried it broke and John immediately grabbed my dress to keep it off the ground. As he always does, immediately stepping in to make sure I'm ok and wanting to prevent anything to happen that might upset me. Such a caring dude I got!






And of course, sealed with a kiss.

Last night Gossip Girl came back to us. And I was at a baseball game.
Basically the equivalent to "I carried a watermelon."

table time - of the coffee variety

Emily over at Emily A. Clark has hit the jackpot with her new cofee table find via Craigslist. She has my heart with latest post and I had to join the party. Go and see for yourself, and if you have a post of your coffee table, you throw down with us.

I posted about our coffee table earlier in the summer and she's still "topless" thanks to my SATC inspiration.

But with the arrival of my new furniture (fingers crossed by Halloween!) I am thinking a new table would be nice. I am dying for an ottoman style, but Craigslist has not been as lucky for me yet.

Labor Day weekend

Earl made his quick exit, as expected, and now I will be soaking up the last sunshine of summer with sand and surf and family. Can't get much better.

ME.

The den orginally started out as the "Man Room". I have slowly schooled the "Man Room" into a more refined space for the two of us. It houses our TV, laptop and our main entrance to the house from the driveway....However, I have been kinda bored with it lately. I think these pillows just might do the trick. Anyone know where I can find a less expensive kind - but just as stylish?
