alright alright alright....

i have always been a fan of his since Wooderson. Obviously family and fatherhood make him pretty happy. Little Vida will surely be a heartbreaker one of these days.

happy friday

This is what my weekend is looking like it will sum up to. So very excited for some snow. Really, North Carolina doesn't get too much through the winter months, so if it's going to be that cold (Hi of 28 on Saturday. Seriously.) then I'm down for some of this white stuff.
It is not scheduled to start until later this evening so it's basically like Christmas. I still get as excited as a 9 year old, waiting and watching the news to hear the latest predictions of total amounts we will get. Currently 6"-12", by the time it's all over, probably more like 2"-3".
And I will be planning to head to the store after work. Along with everyone else in this lovely city for the weekend necessities after getting snowed in. Milk, Bread for them. Wine, cheese, chips/salsa for me. And maybe some beers for the hubs.

Thanks Mother Nature!

Mr. and Mrs. Us

Pay no attention to the double chin that has formed on moi.
But regardless, we are still pretty darn cute.

WTF - In Response to a Poop Post

I have a new favorite blog. Martini's or Diaper Genies?.
She is kinda awesome and one of her most recent posts was on poops. I howled in the bed last night from reading. The husband came back in the bedroom all "what are you reading" and I was all, "oh nothing". Not that I'm ashamed to tell him I was reading about poops, but kinda ashamed to tell him I was reading about poops... You see we live in a sweet little house with 1 bathroom. 1 bathroom for his daily clockwork poops and my more sporadic bathroom visits. Without going into too much detail, I must say it really says something when you can hear someone poop [let alone smell it] and still wanna jump their bones and contemplate one day having their little poopy babies.
That's how you know ladies, that is how you know.
But back to the poop post. So there were already like 65 comments from other readers by the time I got there all about the poop post. How freeing is it to read that other women share your concerns about parasites in your bowels and only pooping once every two days. [I'm googling colon cleansing as we speak] Seriously. The poop confessions were coming like it was Lent. Some were heavy poopers some were on the lighter side. I'm more of a regular pooper. (Just going to get it out there) I have a friend from college, let's call her P. P poops so many times a day we might start tracking it. She has named it FRED. Freaking. Ridiculous. Explosive. Diarrhea. Can you imagine? FYI, P looks like she walked out of a Victoria Secret catalogue. FRED don't sound so bad anymore.

i wanna go....

In preparing my blog I decided I would have some structure to the weekly posts to start out, as a way to keep me focused on what I could write about. So welcome to Tuesday's Travels...I know. but stay with me.
In my 29 years, I haven't experienced too much traveling. I haven't even left the US yet, but I'm dreaming baby. Last night I watched an episode of Anthony Bourdain's
No Reservations with the husband. It's one of our favorite shows, we love Tony.
A sidenote about the husband, he will only watch a tv shows with balls or food - sports of any kind or food shows. He's a closet chef and he loves to experiement with his own recipes. I'm a lucky LUCKY girl.
OK back to my post- Tony was visiting the city of
Brittany, located on the northwest coast of France. It was breathtakingly beautiful and has amazing oyster farms that are located in the rich Belon River. Just looking at those suckers made me drool. Raw, Steamed, Rockafeller, Souped, Fried. I love a good oyster.
Before they got to the first commerical break, I told the husband to add it to the list.

Re-aquianting with blogging...

Hello! I've been wanting to start a new blog for a while now and have finally decided today was the day. I'm going to try to have a bit more structure to things and be a bit more dedicated to my postings. Had to get this one first up so I can get my background created! More to come. I promise!
